Last night, October 6, was the culmination of 180 artists commitment to create one small piece of art every day throughout the month of September. This was achieved through the valiant efforts of the Delaware Fun A Day team, and then The Delaware Contemporary hosted all those artists work. It was a fantastic and very crowded opening! I decided to continue my theme from The 302 pop up gallery, and painted regional wildflowers on 6×6 gold leafed panels. Although some of the panels you can tell I was plodding through to finish, the end result was striking.
And here are a few detail shots of my favorites:
I even had the privilege to have one of my panels included in a promo page on Instagram. That was a fun surprise! I certainly hope to be in a place where I can contribute again next year. It was a challenge, but great fun.
The wildflower on the gold leaf is so magical. Elegant and downright spellbinding. !!!!
